Another conceptual piece. I wanted to portray someone who is shy, with a low self esteem and how it can be crippling and very painful to live with. Especially with all the people (snakes) who tell everyone what to do and who they should be, and most of those people/snakes are just spiteful, and hurt people for fun, bringing them down without thinking about devastating consequences it can cause...As for the technical part. I wanted to try mixing medias. I don't like to work with colors but at some point I will have to get used to them, so why not start now? x) Working on this was tiring but I guess it didn't turn out that bad. I must definitely practice more with colors ^^'

This is a very interesting drawing; great use of shading and blood (very realistic). I also like the amount of details you had on the snakes in the frame (I may critic about the scissor blade is not pointy enough or appears to be safety scissors; maybe this is to show how weak this person really is). Overall, I really like your drawing and can't wait to see more from you

This is a very interesting piece because of the emotion behind it. I like that you have done something creative instead of just a straight portrait. The different media all being mixed together is a nice touch as well. In particular I like the way that the texture of the paper shows up on the face and hair but not on the snakes - it keeps both parts very distinct. You can interpret it that the words people say don't seem real (because the snakes are bright and cartoony) or like they should be taken seriously, but they still have a very real effect (because the scene in the middle looks very realistic). A lot of pause for thought.
