Everyone here seems to forget that Stay-Puft took four proton particle streams to the face and it only made him angry. This ain't as one-sided as you all seem to think.

you do know that Godzilla is a living gamma reactor right? he can generate a lot more radiation than the proton packs at a much more powerful level
the Proton packs were too small and weak to faze Stay Puft but Godzilla's breath would blow a good chunk out of him at the least

And plus, I don't have a clear memory of the original ghost busters, but didn't crossing the streams kill stay puft? I mean crossing the streams is definitely weaker than atomic breath.

The only reason the Ghostbusters weren't killed doing that was because they were anchored in our own dimension when they did it, so they didn't get the worst of it; Gozer's entire dimension was either disintegrated or sealed away. I'm not clear on how much damage it could have done, but Egon did say that crossing the streams under normal circumstances could lead to all life as we know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. That's bad.
