I watched the movie yesterday and found it so damn sad ;__;So I thought I just had to draw her.
Setsuko ( 節子 ) from Grave of the Fireflies ( Hotaru no Haka, 火垂るの墓 ).
YES. COP OUT BACKGROUND.
I HATE IT.
IT SPOILS EVERYTHING.
But I could NOT bring myself to draw a million leaves this evening.
(I'll improve it with a better Background later in the week, maybe).

I personally love the background as it is. Simple. Understated. Setsuko has a very joyful, carefree spirit- she isn't one to have all sorts of fancy whatnots. Or maybe that's just me trying to make you not feel as bad for being lazy since I'm a lazy bum when it comes to drawing. XD

Well, it was a little childish, yes. And to be honest it wasn't the most eventful movie. xD; But it was cute, and the art was nice as usual. Also, the characters were sweet and well developed.
I had no expectations of Ponyo, maybe that's why I enjoyed it? xD;
