Hm..I call the regular one "Malik" and the yami one "Marik". So the one in this picture is the regular one, not the extra-crazy one ^^
I don't know if this is the official way to do it, but it's what I do

So much emotion ... the way you do him so realistically ... it's breathtaking. Though I would have liked Malik a little darker ... I thought perhaps if his figure was more in darkness, the emotions that go along with "plotting" (i.e. mysteriousness; anger; negativity) would have been amplified. Malik lives in a hole; not much light down there, I suspect. Great job, as usual.

Hmm..I was picturing him as plotting on the boat later in the series, but that's a good point about the lighting matching the "plotting" aspect.
Thanks for all the great comments, btw : )

I am absolutly in love with this picture! ^^ The expressions are very realistic, and you have my deepest envy. I cannot draw YGO realistically to save my life. And the lighting is excellent, very well done!

At first, I didn't recognize either of them. This is the beauty of it--anyone can look at this and admire it. Plus, it is in accordance with what the strong daylight would be. After all, it is in Egypt!

Yeah, I think I was mostly focused on getting the lighting right for the picture...kinda that strong midmorning or afternoon sunlight.

I wondered when you'd get back to drawing Malik. I thought you -nevermind...
I love the shading and how you made the light come through the window like that. Pretty!

Thanks ^^ I had fun with the lighting on this one. And Malik just lends himself very well to the plotting pose
