Kaia certainly loves how her costume comes out. And especially how her boyfriend's looks, too. Hmm, would it cause a royal scandal if the king suddenly started cuddling her chief advisor? Well, as the right and honorable Mel Brooks once said; "It's good to be the king."
It's the OTP nobody even knew they wanted!

This particular idea stuck with me for like six months, and so I just HAD to get it on the paper.
The pose for Kaia was a bit tricky, and I actually had to reference the 'part of your world' pose from The Little Mermaid to get it to work with her body type. And finding the right color to match Zazu's pattern was tricky too, as seemingly none of my blues matched up in the right way.
All in all, though, I think I struck a good balance. Took a few liberties with designs, but I think it still comes through really well. And to be honest, this is probably the best picture of Kaia and Malik I think I've done so far. I mean, I think their proportions and sizes are almost spot on to how I imagine them.
