The hawk councilor felt the weight of her ornate headgear resting atop her brow, its slight burden enough to aggrivate her aching head. Outside the shuttle window, the towers and spires of the city sped by, a second shuttle drawing close in its own flight path before veering off again just as quickly to some other warren of the sprawling metropolis. The consol next to her chimed with an incoming call, but Kalen simply flicked the display to dismiss it, wanting to enjoy the rare moment of quite in a day that was sure to provide ample trials of her patience.
