Description
To fully rid himself of his grief over his mother, Luke, Mara, and Jacen watch the rest of R2-D2’s hologram that started from Vader throwing Padmé on the Mustafar platform. Turning his anger on Obi-Wan, Vader accuses him of turning his wife against him, but Obi-Wan retorts that Vader has done that himself and let himself be twisted by Sidious into the Sith he was meant to destroy. Vader refuses to listen and rants that he has brought order to his "new empire." Obi-Wan, unable to believe what he is hearing, prepares to fight. While Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi duel, C-3PO, and Artoo take Padmé's unconscious form aboard her starship, where Obi-Wan later returns after he has finished his duel to fly Padmé to the Polis Massan medical facility, and there, he, along with Yoda and Bail Organa, witness Luke and Leia's birth. With Padmé's final breath, she maintains that there is still good in Anakin as she dies, and the last holographic file ends. Realizing what’s he done, R2 rolled away tearfully from the group with shame and guilt.
