I figured I'd try and do the whole overworld map using sprites/textures from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I had to cut a few objects in order to have room (mostly just random rocks). I made each map section 256x192 pixels (size of a DS screen).
Here is the map with grid lines showing how it's divided.

There isn't one. I made this using bits and pieces from ALttP map and altering them to fit together correctly.

I love it. My only complaint is that the final dungeon really should stay as Spectacle Rock rather than being a building. Otherwise A++ job.

Usually I hate things like this, but the accuracy is nice and I enjoy this a lot.

I'm thinking about doing a possible DS homebrew remake of LoZ.

If you're talking about the one where you're just walking around, then yes. I only made it as far as having the map blocked out with collision detection before life got in the way. You can walk around the map, but there's nothing happening in it at all haha.

There's always a possibility I'll revisit it, so I don't want to say no, but at the moment it's just not feasible for me. :c
