Quick Explanation
When Jack became Nigthmare he lost his good feelings, just remaining in his mind the difficult and unpleasant feelings (anger, depression, confussion, helpless, indiference, afraid, sadness, hurt...)
That's why he's kinda childish, he feels empty even as a demon so he ACTS the nice feelings even when he actually feels nothing...
War, in the other hand, is more distant and such, if you watch anime he is kinda like a tsundere character, closed, reserved, but when he feels something, he does it from the bottom of his heart
