Description
1st levitation attempt.I lost count of how many times I nearly died from doing this. Don't try this at home.
Overall this was pretty rushed; I didn't take the time I should have into making this. I'll definitely be experimenting with levitation techniques again.

had me going from a distance here. I thought you were on strings. This looks like its put together like my BG'd comic work ...like a vecter. Very cool. I was schooled for photography years ago (82 when dinos ruled) ...wasnt bad (top of class), but that was before digital, photoshop, and pc's ...just old cellulose (mostly 35). I like the gallery you have
I saw you have a few photos open for crits from the general public ...braveheart. Most dont know what their looking at, but then again everyone has an opinion and can say yay or nay, and most photographers and artists get stuck in the mechanics and tech to actualy appreciate the subject sorry 'bout the rant, again love the work. Bruce.

If people want to critique, they'll critique. It can always be marked as fair or unfair

Among all your levitation pics, this certainly seems the most bold-- if not dangerous-- to do: no comfy bed to fall on! And heels too? o_0
Regardless, the results come out nicely, and the sense of capturing a moment of action-- with the toppling chair, flying book, and of course, the flying body-- is very evident.

Oh yeah, it was pretty dangerous LOL. Had bruises the next day. T-T it was worth it though!

Haha it's not straightforward-- it was taken with multiple captures: camera was set on a tripod, first image was just the scene, second with the chair, third was me on the chair, and then I took some things out in Photoshop so I appeared to be floating.

keep coming back to this. it's just brilliant. i think it has inspired me to try this levitation technique on my own. any tips? i'm not sure if i'll be blending and using other object in the scene as you did, but the jumping/falling bit seems like the most difficult

Haha! Very trippy. I like the faded look to the whole thing. As for rushed, the only thing for me is that the skirt is hanging down, thus taking away from the levitation a bit. Other than that it looks fine.

The skirt naturally fell down like that even before processing I thought it looked a bit realistic to leave it that way instead of alter it and have it somewhat floating. But that's just my opinion

Still a good picture. I guess if you were going for a levitation look like just the body the skirt would fall down anyway. I was thinking zero G which is not the way dreams generally work. My bad.
