Awhile ago I had posted a drawing of Garrett which was just meant to be a warm-up drawing. I wanted to get a little background and shading practice in today, so I decided to finish this piece. I had also originally forgotten to add in his metal leg, though it's a bit hidden in this drawing. My original inspiration and reference for this was an image of a cutting horse! Cutting horses make for the best references for those wanting to do more dramatic and dynamic horse/centaur poses!

Garrett is a traveling bounty hunter! He lost his front left leg after a rather severe break suffered during a train raid. He's a guy just trying to make up for past wrongs by taking down the sort of people he used to be like. Garrett has a soft spot for people just trying to get back on their feet and is quite literally willing to sacrifice a leg to help another. And while others may see his sense of justice as wrong, Garrett continues to accept jobs as a bounty hunter/mercenary in order to help people. I.e, hunting down cattle thieves who're destroying local farms and things of the like!

Garrett was born into a centaur gang known as the 'No Man', but he got out shortly around the time he turned eighteen. From there, he's been trying to make amends for the things he did as a gullible, naive teenager, even now at roughly thirty years old. He's worked mostly as a mercenary/bounty hunter, but he hasn't turned down helping out local sheriffs and taking on the role of playing deputy for awhile.
