Description
The Cascade Class is a difficult vessel to classify. It is just smaller than the Glimmer Class escort destroyer. The Cascade for sure can fulfill that role, but it is also adept at many others. This very swift ship type is excellent at recon and patrol, stealth operations, and even could be called a light assault ship.

Having excellent thrust to mass ratio means that the Cascade is one of the (if not the) most mobile ships in the Airnavy. It can use its speed and its focus on light, rapid fire weapons to chase down other small ships, harass larger vessels, or conduct hit and run raids. Although most of the weapon systems of a Cascade are light, it does have four torpedo tubes that can threaten larger targets. Most of these vessels are also outfitted with long range guidance for Avowbree drones and can act as a orientation ship that can redeploy to where it is needed with amazing speed. These also come into play with long range communications and sensors for recon missions.
