A reminder: this account is no longer active. For new versions of this icon set and related material, visit [link]As promised, here is a complete overview of the images in the PNG icon. Including that one TIFF down there. Not including the three translucent images that follow.
Those background images are in the bundles, though. As are a large number of other graphics not shown here--a complete Skype recolouring was produced for this project, as was a new iTunes icon set, new FrontRow images, new iSync animation, et cetera.

One does not; it must be converted. There is a tool for doing so on the developer disc. I believe CandyBar 3 may be more efficient, if non-free.
