HUGE FILE!!Sandslash is, in fact, my #1 favorite Pokemon - so I felt it was blasphemy to not do variants of Sandslash! However, Sandslash is also one Pokemon that I have a significantly difficult time drawing... I was able to work around that problem by getting some quad help from StarLynxWish and also looking at images of velociraptors!! So here, have some dino-slashes! And I still have a few more I want to do, but we'll see when I get around to do those |D;;;
Pure bred - good for battling, also helpful in cities for digging new tunnels / sewers, etc.
Puncture - great for battling, has a vicious temper, can learn Spiky Shield.
Short tail - bad balance due to having a short tail and cannot move very fast, makes up for the bad balance with uncontrolled raw power. Great for battling. Can learn Flame Charge.
Dreamer - blind. Has excellent hearing and quick reflexes because of this. Great for battling. Can learn Dream Eater.
Sickleback - very deadly. Good for battling, will curl up in a ball and roll, causing mass damage to foes in the process. Can learn Psycho Cut.
Shifter - good for re-con missions due to being able to camouflage. Lacks overall digging skills but is an excellent tree climber. Also makes a good pet. Can learn Aqua Tail.
Silkie - excellent pet Pokemon. Lacks spikes, though the fur on its back is stiffer than usual. Good at painting, tail paint color can change at will. Can learn Sketch.
Armored - great for battling. Defense/Special Defense is higher than usual. Has good balance and thus can run at high speeds. Can learn Iron Defense.
Horned - excellent mount Pokemon. Good for traversing all terrain. Also makes a good battle Pokemon. Can learn Milk Drink.
Howling - excellent battle Pokemon, Attack/Special Attack is higher than normal. Pack oriented Pokemon; very loyal to trainers. Can learn Flamethrower.
Eagle Eye - excellent pet/contest Pokemon. Their fur is very sleek and beautiful. Very loving and protective. Can learn Psychic.
Prancer - good re-con Pokemon due to terrain camouflage. Also a good mount Pokemon for all-weather. Can learn Horn Leech.
Annnd I think that's it as far as my head-canons for the variants go :'D

Ahhh, not you too! Man, this is so odd, why is everyone calling these variations? I mean I guess they're using the sandslash base design but you're kind of fusing them with different Pokemon and creating crossbreeds.

Um well I don't know what's so wrong with referring to them as variants since technically crossbreed is the same thing (at least IMO) :'D Plus these are all Pokemon that Sandslash can actually be bred with. That and it's great practice to do because it helps with color picking and design as well. I do them for fun XD I've been making hybrids for years (three at least), so while I could have called them "hybrids" and that would have been more accurate, I call them variants because that's what everyone else is calling them, and I want them to be easy for people to find.
