I've watched RnC movie last week, and I felt a little...disappointed... ;-; I think it is not Ratchet and Clank movie, but Ratchet and Qwark movie T-T I really wanted to see a scene that Ratchet And Clank's fight like the thier first video game...So, this is my storyboard which is for the movie if I directed.Related content

Totally agree, I felt Ratchet & Clanks relationship was portrayed terribly in the movie !

Ooh, Yah, the movie kind of missed the point, of the original game. The point from it, Ratchet and Clank both fought and didn't get along,Β and gotten along later in the game, building that relationship from that. While the movie/reboot kind of missed that point, and seems more focus on Ratchet and Qwark more.
I mean I kind of understand they wanted to redo Ratchet's personality towards more like his mature self, like in Tools of Destruction to Crack in Time. But, just kind seems like you're rushing all that into one movie/reboot, rather than building from all the experience from it.
Considering they wanted to aim more towards to the kids for the reboot/movie, I don't think using his original personality, the jerk/stubborn one, would have looked too well.
I personally like your idea, It's cliche, but it's done right, for the plot/relationship.

What I'm referring to is that I'm not sure what to say about the movie because:
1.- Haven't watched it
2.- Many people say that it wasn't so great after all.
This also happened to me like when Batman V. Superman was released on theaters.

The movie was average in my opinion. It feels like the story was about how Ratchet and Clank befriended Qwark and the pacing was bad. It felt like a 50 min movie than a 1 hr 34 min movie. Also not alot of action. I think they focus more on pleasing the fans then having a balance of entertaining fans and new comers. I still enjoy it, bur they need to work on the writing and pacing. Also I do love your chibi style of the characters and the expression is really good.

Definitely would have been better cause Ratchet and clank were very separated in this movie. This definitely would have made an interesting more conflict even it's a cliche that's been done a lot it's still makes in closer to it's source material unlike the actual movie which made me feel like I was watching a lamer version of star wars

The movie is indeed a bit disappointing. I think they struggle a bit to keep the movie with relevant plot and character development. Problem is that the movie is directly taken from the game, and it does not work well when it's a story that's meant to be played. Whenever you play the game though, you won't be disappointed. Ratchet and Clank's relationship is a lot better than the original game. Qwark, even though he's narrating the game and does appear a lot in it, is not the focus.

Personally, I enjoyed the movie somewhat - considered it charming, at the very least - but I definitely agree that a scene like this would have added more to it. You never disappoint with wonderful ideas and drawings!

Oh, I see what's going on- Ratchet doesn't want to believe that Qwark's working for Drek and so he walked away from Clank. Poor Clank; tries to do the right thing and nobody doesn't listen to him. By the way, do you take comic book ideas?Β Er... I mean video game related?

YEAH.Β It would've established that bond we all know and love between them, too.Β Ratchet and Clank not getting along in the original first game started that their whole dynamic of Clank being Ratchet's voice of reason when he's getting too worked up over something.Β Which made the line "I should've listened to Clank.Β He's always right" in Tools of Destruction make sense.Β And why Ratchet immediately sided with Clank when he disagreed with Alister.Β This was where that bond started, when Ratchet realized that Clank was right all along.Β Excluding this from the movie completely overlooks what makes their teamwork work.
And this would have been a good, scene, too.Β Since Ratchet had started bonding with Qwark at this point.Β We never really got to see Ratchet react to his betrayal.Β And it would've made Clank going back to get Ratchet from Veldin more meaningful, since he would be forgiving Ratchet for not listening to him.Β Cuz Clank is so nice.Β c:
