Well, I became obsessed with the book Expedition, by Wayne Barlowe... finally found it after a long 5-year period of searching... and, well, It's just Awesome, I mean, the story and everything, complemented with the sublime depictions of the Alien Fauna of Darwin IV...

for me It was epic... and as an already passionate Alien-Drawer It was just a matter of time for me to re-represent this cool and surreal beings...

This is a Finned Snapper; They hunt small fast-flying prey by flickering their head-arm and impaling the little animals, also, as many Darwinian animals, it has this really weird pelvic structure, that in this case, lifts when the creature runs... dunno what else to say... so, see ya!
