Description
When I was playing Pokemon Red, I always like to Choose Charmander for my first Pokemon because I love Charizard.
And then I always get a Gastly in Pokemon Tower.
Gengar becomes my most favorite monster all time because it's cute and tricky.
And it learns Thunder Bolt!!
And the last one is the legendary monster Articuno, I love it because it looks gentle, and it's a dragon killer.
These three monsters become my most favorite monster in the first generation Pokemon.

Nice. We almost have the same favorites for gen 1. Mine are Charizard, Articuno, and Mewtwo. Haven't used a Gengar though. (i can't get him because i can't trade in gen 1-3)

My top three are (don't judge me XD):
Shinx - it was love at first sight when I saw this cutie in Pokemon Diamond and throughout the game he has been my partner. I used him more than my starter :C.
Klink - Okay before Pokemon Black/White came out, the pokedex for the new was released and me and my friend had to pick a favourite to keep in our party. Sadly he picked Vanilite first so I had to pick another and it was Klink, turns out I became very fond of it, because I think gears look cool.
Sentret - He followed me around in Heartgold and it was just adorable, he was like a cute little bunny with a racoon's tail. I bonded well with him (named him Bunnie) though he was more like a pet than a battle partner.

As Chelsea mentioned I haven't given much thought to this...It's hard to narrow down the choices to only 3. Though I'd have to say, maybe Charizard, Arcanine, and Dewgong.

Well for on Dewgong is pretty adorable. ^_^ But also back in, I WANT to say Leaf Green, I caught a Seel and I just kind of fell in love with him. So I continued to train him and before long he evolved into a Dewgong and I was so excited! So from there he basically just became a permanent part of my team. He helped me beat the game and he is surprisingly powerful! So, yea I guess Dewgong just grew on me. xD

Funnily enough, I've never thought about it . . . first best three that come to mind are Eevee (I can't choose between the evolutions), Arcanine, and Charizard.

I love Eevee, it's one of the most special monster in Generation 1 because of the variety of evolution.

Charizard yes. Zapdos and Alakazam would be my others. I love my Zapdos, I got it in pokemon yellow and still use it now in pokemon black 2. I have it in all my hall of fames and It's waiting to join pokemon x hall of fame.

Dragonair, Gloom and Lapras. (I would never let the Dragonair or Gloom evolve, since I preferred them to their final stages~)

oh, I like Dragonair and Lapras too. ^^ But they are hard to level up(because I meet them in late game). So I normally don't use them for clearing the game.
I remember that I used Lapras in my water team, and it was sooo good!

Jolteon is actually one of my favourite eeveelutions, along with Glaceon.
I think Arcanine is amazing he is one of the best fire types in Kanto, along with Charizard and Ninetales
