Description The pic that SHOULD have gone up on day 15 of Buttober.

Blossomforth the pegasus acting as a contortionist. It may look uncomfortable, but she finds this position -quite- relaxing.

Can I borrow that book next? And if there's another in the series about magicians and illusionists, can I borrow that as well?

Certainly you may! And I think there are books about magicians and illusionists, yes.

Edit: Nevermind, I thought this was a picture featuring real anatomy.  I just realized that it is a modular anatomy.

Have some real examples of contortionists using their feet:

Long story short I thought her legs are upside down lol...

I kinda figured this pose wouldn't really be possible. BUT (Heh) magic exists in Equestria! Perhaps she was born with some kind of magical anomaly that allows her to pull this off?

I edited my comment because I saw your other modular pictures and thought that this one was modular also.  Close to what is possible in reality but her legs are upside down lol!

Ah. Nope! She didn't take off her legs to do this! And she didn't have a spell cast on her either, so it pretty much WAS an innate magical ability that she was born with.

Wouldn't we all?

Well, I like focusing on reality.  I am an amateur contortionist myself.  I'd say I'm about 2/3 of the way to being able to do the chest stand pose!

Really? Sweet! That's really impressive! I'm not flexible at all.

Yeah, I love scouring the internet for drawings of Blossomforth doing sweet poses lol, gives me inspiration and motivation to practice.

Ah, cool! So, aside from the anatomical problems in this one, do you like it?

Yup, it's pretty cool.  I want to be able to hold something in front of my face with my feet in a backbend eventually.  It might take me a while more tho.  It took me quite a while to get where I am now.

Ah, I see! Yeah, I've read that contortionism is something that takes a lot of practice.

Yeah, it does.  Depending on your age, health, and other factors it can take different amounts of time.  My progress has been quite slow.  I try to practice about 2-3 times a week for maybe 2 hours each time with a bunch of smaller random stretch sessions but sometimes I quit for weeks at a time which is not good.  I have been going semi-consistently for maybe about 1 year and two months.  Before that I had quit for about a year but I still had some lingering flexibility from my practice years ago.

If you are healthy, are somewhat young, and practice consistently at least 3 times a week two hours each time anyone should be able to do a chest stand easily within 1.5-2 years or less.  If you practice harder, are younger or have some sort of flexibility background it can be shorter, as short as 4-6 months to a year.  If you quit for more than 1-2 weeks it will be longer.

I can show you some pictures of me if you are curious.

Sure, that sounds like it might be interesting. As far as the pic itself... I guess we can always just assume magic.

Judge for yourself if your drawing is possible to accomplish or not lol.  This guy is a crazy contortionist, I gets pretty close to doing the pose in your drawing:

I'll probably just chalk it up to magic or something.
