Description
"Don't let it eat you!"So, this was one of the things I worked on at my cartooning class. Back in the olden days (Just kidding, it wasn't too long ago) they did all cartoons by hand, no fancy computer junk. First, the artist would draw out the character (or any props it's holding) on paper, not colored in or anything. Then, an inker takes this sheet of clear paper, (we used the stuff for over heads.)puts in over the original drawing and carefully traces it all out. Then, the drawing is given to the person who colors it it. they flip the drawing upside down and fill it in then (we used acrylics) this way even if they color over the black the black will still show through. then, they lay it over the background. Then it ready! but, now they do it on the computer which is a lot faster and more vibrant.
So, here's the story about my character. On the first day, The teacher wanted to see where everyone was at skill wise and also what we lived to do. And, I couldn't think of a person to draw, so i did a building. And then the teacher was showing some draw books and saying how, "you can turn any object into a cartoon!" and then from hearing that and seeing this book she was showing I got the idea of turning my building into a cartoon/person. and that's what i did. Then the next day when we were doing the first step in cell drawings i wanted to use it again so I re-drew it. I got really lazy with the background, though. Hope you like it. ^^
