I love how it's shaded and I really love the details you put into the clothing and the hair. Irrrkk... I am way to lazy to make all the ripples and folds and such in the clothing. Love it!

I loved the detail you put in to the clothing and the splendid shading. I'd be glad if you could give me some of the references you used

happy to know you liked it, well since I'm unable to use colors
I had to learn how to make proper shades to compensate for it.
however my main sources came from google immages for (for exaple) the corset of the lady, and some details here and there ...
the letters are based on the video game 'bioshock' which was a little referrence of 'les temps nouveau' (history) ... I linked it with aristocracy (which appeared to be the topic of the contest) ... other details like the black flower rectangle around the pic, was mainly based on the work of a mangaka (forgot the name though)

Thanks, I see that you used a lot from the mid 50's American style, to be honest, I was expecting something like 19 century bourgeoisie clothing. I was always interested in mid 19 century and early 20 century style, mainly the bourgeoisie/proletariat themes.
I see that you took references from different time periods, impressive.

well yeah its like a little mix of history if you ask me
I mixed up some of my fav elements trough historical clothing and put them together, also adding my own personal touch to finnish the immage
it took a while to make though, but I wasn't satisfied with using only one time period (I guess the wanted me to focus on the regency period)

Thank you very much
In a way it makes sense. Styles do come and do, but a lot of developed styles go though a lot of time periods.
If you do your research you will see that fashion repeats every 20 years, so we get a lot of elements over and over again.
Best of luck in the later projects.

and thanx alot ... I'll do my best for future projects
(like the late easter day entry I posted yesterday lol)
you can check it out too if you want, but I don't expect you to be able to get some history out of it xD
