Description The commission that has ruled over my drawing life over the past.... weeks, months??
I don't know how long it's been since I started drawing the cat, but i became frustrated quite quickly and stopped drawing altogether.. then, after my Outburst I thought "Now, or never!!"... I decided for now, quickly sketching the last hairs, and I decided to leave it to my dear customer for free, since I don't like the result.. (they still gave me money for it )

A few hours,
mont marte Sketch book A4 150g (a quite textured paper),
6B, 4B, 2B, 2H

My resolution from this project: I WANT MECHANICAL PENCIIIILS!!! (where can i get them for a decent price?)

Let me know, what you think, and if you really can't think of any useful critique, nitpickery, the answer to the above question, or other comments, then just rate out of 10

Oi, a commission... how you do it?? I've considered it, and even been propositioned for one, but if I'm not feeling the idea, I just don't know where I'd find the motivation (money is an inadequate encourager of inspiration )

You have such great skill when drawing animal hair; this cat's looks soft enough to pet thru the monitor! The single tone white of the collar makes it appear flat, and his teeth looks unusual - rounded and flat, like a human's smile, rather than a feline's fangs.

An art supply store will definitely have mechanical pencils, but if you're looking for less expensive, try a major retailer like Walmart. Honestly though, it's a mechanical pencil; how much better can price really make it?

yea, the motivation.. well it was gone very soon after i started, so i stopped altogether for ages (actually unacceptably long), and then i thought "u can get this done is one more evening, give it to them for free coz it looks shit, and then you're over with it!!" No sooner said than done, and in the end the next day i found a 50$ note in my letter box with a thank you note
I deff do not feel like drawing commissions... it's much easier if they just buy finished drawings of you^^ (not that anyone has ever done that with me, lol )

True, i should have put more work into the collar, now that you say it...
His "teeth" look "rounded and flat", because they are actually the cat's lip you couldn't actually see any teeth on the photo

Mechanical pencil: yea, but i want a SOFT one like 4B would be pretty awesome xD and they dont have that in the normal shop x)
