For those of you who don't know this "kind, considerate and charming" wolf, Loopy de Loop is a nearly totally forgotten star of Hanna-Barbera the one and only theatrical cartoon series. I posted a bit about Loopy on FaceBook, and since I'm too tired tonight to write something new, I'll just re-post it here:
"Hanna-Barbera developed dozens of animated shows for TV, from Space Ghost to Scooby Doo. Loopy de Loop was their one stab at making theatrical cartoons, back when nearly all movies were preceded by an animated short. I don't think they were very successful; I never heard of them until I was 25 or 26 years old (and I thought I knew everything about HB).
"During a long, depressing bout of unemployment, I rose up early every weekday and watched hours of randomly-played cartoons on (I think) the USA Channel just to see a scattering of Loopy cartoons. I decided if he could survive all the $#@!& people gave him (including the characters he'd just saved from certain doom) and walk away optimistic, with a smile on his muzzle and a song in his heart, so could I! And that's how I survived two years without a job. That and my parents gave me money."😛

Yes, he's a gentle-wolf who literally wouldn't hurt a fly. Too bad he doesn't receive much love and attention as other cartoon wolves.
