I know. I love the books as well as the movie, but the movie is by no means accurate to the books and it drives me nuts. I had to d a presentation about HTTYD to my English class and all I got was people giving me grief about how what I was saying was a pile of shit as it didn't happen in the movie

I understand what you're saying. I actually don't mind, they're both different in some way and I like that. I mean, I don't know why but if it was the SAME as the book I probably wouldn't have wanted to read the books. :/ So I'm happy....xDĀ

The only reason he's named Toothless is because that's his name in the book series the movie is based off of - in which, the dragon actually doesn't have any teeth. The makers of the movie just wanted to give him teeth, but they made them retractable so they could keep the name.

The fish in Hiccups hands...it doesn`t even look like a fish! lol, love the picture ( besides the nightmare fish. It just plain scares me)

Hehehehe, when I saw the thumbnail the first thing I thought was, "He's deceiptively Toothless!" (was it deceptive or deceiving?) Anyway, that just made it funnier!

I just happen to know why hes called toohtles.
this movie is based on a wery short childrens book, but a bit too loosely.
in the book, they have dragons for pets to start wiht.
so.. Hiccup is the chiefs son but he ends up getting this small toohtles dragon to train instead of something impressive, hence the name toohtless.
and then the movie had to make up something.
