Used stock reference for the pose Call Me Maybe - Pose Reference by amazingShe has one of the most amazing variety of the poses in her gallery.
Imagine me singing this amazing song, lol you don't want to hear that.
First started as a everyday quick gesture drawing but I liked the pose so I finished it. It has some little anatomy mistakes but I think I'll leave it as it is. And first idea was to make some shot holes and defeated enemy but I'm too lazy for that.

Don't say that. You have very good and creative character designs. As for the backgrounds you just need more practice, but if you don't know what to paint, don't leave it empty, fill it with some gradient or random shapes. If you look for example at ionen.deviantart.com characters, he always make really easy backgrounds and focus on the characters. I hope it will helps.

You know I'm really sorry lol I didn't mean to make it "woe is me". Sometimes I get a little discouraged, I man I can make pretty characters and I love the way I create them just the background escapes me. I will look into ionen and watch them.
