Ellie never really understood professional wrestling. A bunch of sweaty dudes hitting each other until one could lay on the other one for a few seconds. It seemed like a circus act brawl and never held any interest in for her… that was until she saw it live.
When her uncle was left to watch over her while her parents were on holiday, taking a second honeymoon. Unable to just leave the young girl alone, dragged her to a show. He was a venue promoter, woefully out of his depth with connecting to his young niece so he did what he thought was the right move .. distracting her for a few hours.
What started as an outright loathing of the sport slowly faded as she saw matches unfold, impressed by the physicality of the performers, the mind games, wit, and sheer amount of punishment they could endure... It wasn't long before she was picking her uncle's brain for everything he knew about the sport and its history. Inquiries soon became an intense interest, which would lead to the soft-spoken Brit becoming an absolute fangirl.
She kept up with the sport all through her youth. When women's wrestling started to take off locally, she came to the sudden realization that she didn't have to just be a fan anymore, she came to be a competitor. From that day forward she put her studious mind to good use, learning all she could about the sport, its history, and the culture surrounding it all. By the time she was old enough to enroll in a training camp, she had a bit of amateur wrestling under her belt and a firm foundation of knowledge to grow from.
Ellie is a thoughtful girl who tries her best to be outgoing but has issues with anxiety when faced with things she isn't accustomed to. It plays a large part in why she tends to research as much as she does about people, places, and anything in between. She is a firm believer that with enough hard work, anything can be accomplished and applies that directly to her wrestling career. When she hits a wall, Ellie takes a step back and analysis the situation carefully from several different angles before coming at it again, more prepared.
She prefers to keep her personal life private and her ring work professional. Ellie is a competitive girl who can hold her own on her ring fundamentals alone, so long as they keep things within the rules. She relies heavily on knowing who she is up against or the styles they enlist in the ring, trying her best to watch past matches, read up on public information, and learn what makes them tick so she can properly devise a plan. Unpredictable or unknown opponents are her bane as well as those who exploit how easily flustered she can become in the ring when out of her depth.
