Description Halo Warthog at just over 1 million polys.

Render in V-Ray at 4096x1743. All modelling, materials and rendering done in 3D Studio Max 2014.

Render time was around 4 hours and 15 minutes.

All references were taken from the Autovista in Forza 4, allowing very precise detail during modelling.

Please do not edit this render or upload elsewhere claiming it as your own. A lot of work was placed into this for no personal gain. Just a bit of respect is all I ask. That and some constructive feedback.

Thanks for looking!

----

I decided not to add a watermark due to it blocking parts of the renders and looks nicer if someone was to use the render as a background picture.

Wow! You don't see to many Halo models out there, and even fewer at this level of quality!  It looks gorgeous in black too!  Now all you need is the classic Halo: CE Rocket Hog yellow racing stripe and you are set!!

I usually sit in the like 200-400 thousand range. But this Warthog and my Aston Martin One-77 Are much higher. (The Aston being around 800-900 thousand)

It surprisingly didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot.

that's still a lot of polys though the detail really shows in your work

Thanks!

Rendering was about 4 hours. As for making the model itself. I lost tracked. I was between two projects. This and a Nissan GTR (Which I'm currently finishing now.)

I'd say all the time spent merged together, maybe 2-3 weeks.

not bad and a good use of time. Im amazed that it only took 4 hours. it took me 4 hours to render a walk cycle of Big Buck Bunny for my animation class at home. and I think he was only about 1-2 thousand polygons. still very impressive
