Description
This drawing has been completed with the help of Tony Orzech ( [link] ) wich I thank for the great amount of time he invested in helping me with the shading and texturing and Kylee Nell ( [link] ) wich I thank for her asistance with the anatomy... Thanks guys... I never could have done without you...As for the story... Jon ( the elf ) just finished some really tough survival exercices as he is in training for admition in the elven guild of the riders... and Draghi ( the dragon ) just returned from a sucesfull but exhausting hunt...
So they bolth seattle down for a little rest... that's all there is to it...
Heck... I would like a pillow like that...

he isn't evill at all actually.... sure he will kill and stuff but only dose that to feed, to protect somebody dear to him or if he feals threattened. That dosen't qualify him as evill...

True that my friend. Just because a dragon (or any other creature in wild nature) would kill or whatever, it does not automatically declare them as an evil being. But even then, I see no killing in this image, I see a human and a dragpn snugglin together. Thats cute.

you see wrongly then... that nay be a human... it be an elf...

Hmm... yes, elves and dragons always understand each other. I wonder why Care to explain?

cause they have been around for about the same amount of time and because fot the elve's respect for nature and most beyings...
however in this particular scenario, it dwindles down to the fact that the elf raised the dragon ever since he hatched ( and without the elf, the dragon would never have survived )... clasic story I know, but that's what it is.

I love that story though. I do not see how the dragon would not have survived without him!

Ah, you say the dragon was an orhan? How lucky to be founded by that elf! What a story.

amazing pic! love the shading and all the detail!! the only thing that i suggest is that you make the claws (not the toes themselves) a little bit longer.

It's rare to find an image that depicts a dragon in this kind of angle. The detail is really amazing on the underbelly. The leaves on the ground give a great forest feel and texture on the trees is really convincing. Really nice!

Wow, this must have taken forever!! I never have the patience for this level of detail! Trying to get better about it though. I like the idea of light streaming through the trees! Very original, and gives you even more of a challenge! I think it rather sets the mood, too!
The dragon's right leg seems a tad off, though. It's kind of an unusual pose for the leg anyway, but somehow I think the thigh portion would be tilted away from the viewers a little more to line up with the lower portion of the leg.
But even with that said, I have no room to talk! Your attention to detail is astounding, and quite inspiring to say the least! Way to go!

oh, I'm not going to do it right away, I have other projects in mind, and I might not do the exact same pose, though it will be the exact same concept. diversity is always good.
