Just watched Kamen Rider Black Sun. The original one is what got me started to the world of Kamen Rider...

And this one... they took the best parts of the original... and dialed it way up to 11,000. Dear God. The brutality. The sadism. The spot on snide on social issues. That's not my childhood reborn, that's Masterpiece. That's Kamen Rider Black as envisioned by its creator.

So inspired, I feel like I want to create the sequel characters. Black RX. - (mind you, the original sequel was nowhere near as good as the original, let alone the Remake) And while I sorely wanted the RX sequel getting the Black Sun remake, the chance of it happening are rather slim.

So, let's try my take on what it's like if a sequel IS coming. Mind you, there will be spoilers for Black Sun, you have been warned.

Story:

After the fiasco that is the truth of Kaijin's origin and the subsequent sudden death of the newest Creation King Minami Kotaro came out to the world, Japan was humiliated in the UN. An international task force known as CRISIS was set up to take over and regain control the Kaijin problem. In secret of course, CRISIS was under mandate to find a way to create their own Creation King and therefore taking full control of the Kaijin population and arms market. CRISIS chief field agent, Commander Jark Midler and Agent Mary Baron managed to infiltrate Gorgom's old office and secure ample samples of DNA from the remains of the newest Creation King, Kotaro, and his friend, Nobuhiko. Using their DNA samples, the CRISIS task force attempted to clone the Creation King by combining DNA strands from the two most powerful candidates of the Creation King, Black Sun and Shadow Moon, in order to make something better... and more controllable. Project RX was born.

The first 'relative' success was at the 15th attempt, the one codenamed: RX-015. The first successful clone of Minami Kotaro, with the ability to access his Creation King form at will. Further genetic modification to the Creation King genome also added a new ability to draw energy from the Sun in a manner akin to a hyper efficient Photosynthesis. Combining this green energy with the life force of a Creation King enable this new King to produce its own version of Heat Haven, the critical substance needed to rejuvenate Kaijin organism - one that does not need human flesh to synthesize.

Unfortunately, RX-015 quickly break down, emotionally. His emotions and memories were mixed up between Minami Kotaro's sorrow and Nobuhiko Akizuki's deep depression. After several suicide attempts, director Dasmander, leader of the CRISIS task force had enough and forcibly grafted cybernetic implants into RX-015, now dubbed Robo-Rider. The Cybernetic implants prevented any further suicide attempts, thus reducing Robo-Rider to an obedient automaton - which CRISIS will use to great and brutal effect in combating insurgent Kaijins. But it can no longer serve as a Creation King to produce the Heat Haven.

Despite the setbacks of Robo-Rider, the research into RX-015 allowed the experimentation to continue, and another relative success was born in RX-017... which also ended in failure, as due to its faulty genetic makeup, RX-017, then dubbed Bio-Rider, is trapped in perpetual state of psychotic rampage... making him even less suitable for CRISIS designs for the Kaijin race.

With that in mind, Dasmander ordered the CRISIS to change its target. Instead of trying to clone a new Creation King, they'll just have to capture another candidate already in existence, the leader of the Kaijin resistance group: Aoi Izumi AKA Kamen Rider Mantis AKA the Second Shadow Moon.

And they'll use Robo and Bio to do so, with devastating effect to everyone that will stand in their way.

When he was first birthed from his cloning vats, initial data actually showed that there was nothing wrong with RX-015 mental faculty. He possess the same psychological profile as that of the original Minami Kotaro. He even had the same genetic makeup unperturbed by the accelerated growth rate he was force to endure. But when he accessed his Creation King form for the first time... the effect on his psyche was devastating.

The Creation King genes in CRISIS' project RX was spliced from the DNA strands of both Black Sun (Minami Kotaro) and Shadowmoon (Akizuki Nobuhiko). Their genetic material, for reasons beyond CRISIS comprehension, also carries with them the last memories and will of the donors. None of them were happy memories: Nobuhiko who had been pushed into despair way over the edge... and Kotaro, who had suffered so much as Creation King and wants to die. Piling these two negative thoughts one over the other in one fragile newborn mind of a clone, what came out... was a human who had been so consumed by grief, he had lost all will to live.

That's what RX-015 Robo Rider is: A sorrowful creature, unwillingly grafted with machines designed to forcibly kept alive something that wants to DIE. The surgical process was so invasive and mutilated a great part of the Robo Rider, what's left of the organic parts of the cloned Creation King began producing significant amounts of Heat Haven to keep the Rider alive in a self defense mechanism. Unfortunately, the damage to his ruined body was so severe, it quickly used up most of these Haven for himself. And thus RX-015 can no longer serve his purpose as Creation King to produce the Haven that CRISIS so crave as he will quickly die without it. But, with the durability of the grafted cybernetics combined with the massive brute strength of a Creation King (even a heavily mutilated one) RX-015 Robo Rider still make a formidable enforcer for CRISIS, especially after the arrival of RX-017 Bio Rider.

Equipment:

Suppression Mask: Specific to the Haven substances directed to the brain, CRISIS modified the substance with a cocktail of suppressant and psychoactive drugs that kept the RX-015 docile and obedient. The Mask, forcibly grafted and literally screwed unto his head, injected the substance straight into his neural system, reducing him to something closer to an Automaton rather than a living being. Which suits CRISIS needs just fine for an unstoppable anti Kaijin enforcer.

AA-12 Full Auto Shotgun: Kaijins are not exactly the most durable of creatures. Sure, they had monstrous qualities, but on the whole, they're as vulnerable as humans - because they were humans. Even a cop wityh handguns can prove to be too much. So turning a full auto shotgun with explosive shells on them may ventured into the realm of overkill. Then again, leaving behind intact corpses for identifications was never one of Robo Rider's top priorities...

Anchor Arm: Among the many suicide attempts that RX-015 had attempted was the slitting of his wrist. They stopped him each and every time, but at some point he got desperate enough that he'd rather just cut the whole arm off just to be sure. Again, CRISIS stopped him... And at that point, they have had enough. Not only they saved his life against his will, they also grafted a plethora invasive cybernetics that not only prevent any further sucide attempts, but also turned him into a killing machine. During the surgery, said missing arm was replaced with a wire guided Rocket punch/grappler. Its purpose to catch afar targets and drag him close... but more importantly, to give CRISIS one limb that they can control.

Vortech Shooter: a solar powered portable laser bazooka, mounted on the RX-015 shoulder, powered by Robo-Rider's own reserve of solar energy. Normally, CRISIS would never thought of handing something so deadly to a living weapon with mental disorder. Even giving the AA-12 Shotgun was a stretch. But after seeing the damage RX-017 can do, they had no choice but take a calculated risk - as Robo Rider remain their best and only option to keep that rampaging monster under control. The Vortech Shooter can vaporize a target by firing a superheated plasma at the excess temperature of 1200 degrees. Extremely effective, particularly against a target that can liquefy himself at will.

RX-017 Bio Rider

Despite his problems, RX-015 Robo Rider was a success in his ability to self synthesize viable alternative to Heat Haven. The subsequent RX series was then modeled after him, with subtle alterations to his genetics to prevent similar problems from arising. Or at least... that was the plan. RX-016 was a success... and 017 was his backup... but by then, CRISIS had all but exhausted the original genetic material and was forced to make compromises. This would come and bite them in the backside - quite literally - when the devastating incident that is the RX-017 ocurred when the chemical reaction caused him to develop a radical mutation to his genetic makeup.

The mutation altered RX-017 at a molecular level, causing the bonds between his atoms to become unstable. RX-017 lies in state where he was constantly being shred atom by atom... an extremely painful process made all the worse because of his Creation King Physiology, as it also meant he's reconstructing his body as fast as it is being torn apart. In other words, RX-017 is doomed to be in a constant state of perpetual agony that will never, ever stop. Small wonder that he's also in a constant state of near psychotic rage. RX-016 became the first victim of his rampage when 017 eviscerate him to a pulp in his tube before he went on a murderous rampage. A rampage that was only stopped after Robo-Rider enters the fray and literally beat RX-017 to submission. And when that was not enough, he nearly killed him by vaporizing 75% of his liquefied body mass with the Vortech Shooter. Ever since then, RX-017 nurse both his burns and his grudge againt Robo Rider with a passion of a lunatic.

Due to his unique genetic makeup and unstable molecular structure, RX-017, now dubbed Bio Rider, can alter his atomic structure, allowing him to liquefy his body at will. And like Robo, with his body capable of self synthesizing Heat Haven for his own use, meant he will always survive and recover from the extremely painful process. Despite having regenerative power far surpassing his robotic predecessor, his rampaging nature means Bio won't be able to fulfill the function of a Creation King. but even CRISIS will not overlook this unique ability that made Bio a perfect assassin - albeit one treated as a chained beast to be unleashed on the targeted victim - most often large number of targets sequestered in what they think to be an impenetrable safe houses.

Equipment:

Liquid Form: Bio can alter his atomic structure to become liquid in an instant. This allow him to seep through minuscule cracks, infiltrating through the most tightly guarded bunkers. In this form he's practically untouchable... but... it is also a VERY, VERY painful experience for the BIO rider. Not something he can keep for long. And yet, it is in this liquid form that Crisis often kept him locked away in a water proof container - constantly infused with sedatives and painkillers 24/7 - something that Robo Rider was in charge of. On the upside, once unleashed from this state, Bio will most certainly in a very foul mood. On the downside, in thsi foul mood, he will surely kill everyone he lay his eyes on, even Robo - if he could.

Hyper Sensitive Senses: With his molecules in a constant flux of destruction and reconstruction, Bio Rider's body is essentially a giant open wound. This makes him extremely sensitive to changes and stimuli around him, thus allowing him to anticipate and dodge threats coming from miles away.

Bio-Tendril: Bio's purely organic body is not something that can be considered stable. The tendrils bursting out the seams of his body being proof of it. But Bio can still exert some control over the tendrils and alter their density - ordering them to lash out against any target he sensed within range. They can be as lithe as silk, with tips as hard as a diamonds that can cut through armor. They can be as thick as a tree trunk to bludgeon a tank... or as thin as an atom to cut through things at the molecular level.

Bio-Blade: Bio Rider's strongest weapon. As mentioned before, his tendrils are wonderful and versatile weapons of evisceration. But, after the experience of being manhandled by Robo Rider's brute strength, he was quick to find it was inadequate. So he developed this weapon by... ripping out his whole arm bone to serve as a core, to be covered in a particularly dense concentration of biomass that consume one third of his own body mass, creating an extremely sharp blade that can cut through almost anything.

Yes, it is a very not pain free extraction process.

Yes, he will regenerate that arm bone thanks to his Creation King genes.

No, he does not like the process. Not. One. Bit. So it's small wonder that when he use it, he was immediately reduced to a state of blind fury that will not stop until everything in his sight is a gory mush.
