Description
I have easily received over fifty messages and responses from people asking, no, begging me to draw ponies in the style of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. I have had references of the show in previous comics and cartoons I've posted here, so I decided to do a simple little drawing to hopefully appease the people asking for awhile. I have never drawn a MLP:FiM pony before so this is my first attempt. It is one of the crowd favorites, Derpy Hooves. Making her choose a favorite muffin is a trick question I am sure. I hope you guys enjoy it.Did I mention this little pony will be in a the next, "Ask Candace, Stacy, Isabella, and Sometimes Jenny" episode? Yes it will, so stay tuned to find out what Derpy will be derping too as they answer your questions and talk about ponies.
(I do not know much about the show, MLP:FiM, but I know it has a large following. If any of you fans out there want to enlighten me, feel free too. Take care.)

Care to be enlightened? The show was started on October 10th, 2010, and was headed by Lauren Faust. She worked on other great shows of the past, like Codename: Kids Next Door and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Shortly afterward, online criticism of the show lead users on 4chan to watch the show and declare it good. A flame war ensued, but thus began the brony fandom. And by now, it has spread everywhere. The show has excellent animation, innovative plot lines, and well-developed characters. The show's creators also sneak in references to popular culture which only older fans will get, just as a treat for those mindful eyes and ears.
As for Derpy, she possessed the role of a background character with an editing error from the start of the show, which fans quickly fell in love with. Her expression gained her a fan-given name, which would be canonized in the episode "The Last Roundup", where she has a voice cameo. Later on due to opposition from less tolerant parents, her voice and eyes were changed in order to lessen her "offensiveness". I hope I've cleared some things up, and possibly inspired you to watch the show further.
Also, for a first try, this is pretty darn good. However, you may wish to brighten the color of her mane. I'm not sure if I'm entirely right here, but it looks a tad off. No complaints otherwise though, this is a top notch Derpy!

I haven't seen too many episodes of this show, but it's pretty good . Creative characters like Derpy make the show XDD
Very, VERY good work with this. Your first attempt? This is awesome for your first try!! Really like how you did her unusual eyes, and I've seen many people draw wings like that

Thank you, I appreciate that.
I had no idea what I was doing with the wings. Lol! I messed up, said I would go back and changed it, forgot too, and here we are.

I'm guessing the next Ask CSI and sometimes Jenny will have it be between Derpy and Jenny?

Thank you! I had to hand make them on Photoshop. Just some simple circle and slight tilting. Nothing too labor intensive.

I might start using Photoshop more for my drawings, since I know the Photoshop interface a lot better than GIMP/Sai... I do all my graphic design and web design in Photoshop, and it works for me, so i might start using it more, cause I know pretty much all the tools in Photoshop, and even final production of my photos are done in Photoshop I.E. Contrast, Lighting.....

I tried GIMP for awhile, but was too used to Photoshop. Photoshop in my opinion just seemed more stable and complete. GIMP felt like I was using an online program, if that makes sense. But there was nothing wrong with it. It did a lot of the things Photoshop did without the polish, and for a free program, it was amazing what they packed into it.

Ya the Gimp line tool is horrible in my opinion for curving... I use that for the eyes, but it would be easier imo to just use the cicle tool in Photoshop.
