Honey Bee smiled and waved the police cruisers on, as she had just stopped a group of men trying to rob a local restaurant. Moments later, she noticed a young boy in a wheelchair with an awed look on his small face.

“Hi! What’s your name?” Kayla exclaimed, squatting down to his level and wearing a soft smile.

“I’m.. uh..Christopher…” He stumbled, as his green eyes widened.

“It’s nice to meet you! Where’s your parents?” She replied, shaking his hand.

“They’re getting out of the car just over there.” He pointed to a man and woman walking towards them.

“Great. You know, I’d love to get a picture with you.” Kayla smiled, taking out her phone.

“Really!? I mean…yeah, sure.” Christopher replied, trying to mask his excitement.

After a moment, Honey Bee lifted the young child safely into her strong arm, as his parents grinned at their son’s happiness. Kayla pressed her lips gently against his cheek, and clicked the camera, taking the candid photo. She smiled at his parents, putting the phone away and sticking out her hand for a shake.

“Hi, I’m Honey Bee. I saw your son and I had to introduce myself.” She smiled.

“Oh, he loves you! He has a few of your action figures as well!” His mother exclaimed.

“Mom…” Christopher replied, turning a shade of red.

“You know, I used to have action figures too. They’re really cool!” Kayla added.

“Really?” He said, eyes widening.

“Of course! Every superhero has to have action figures!” She winked.

“I’m not a superhero though.”

“I think you are, and I’d love to see your muscles!" Kayla encouraged.

After a moment, the boy flexed his small arm for Kayla, as she wore a surprised expression on her face. She placed him back in his wheelchair and casually flexed her arms for the three of them.

“Well guys, I think we should continue our shopping trip.” The woman’s husband exclaimed.

“But Dad…”

“Even superheroes have to listen to their parents. It was really nice to meet you, and have a great day.” Kayla smiled, kissing the child’s cheek once more.

The small family sauntered off, as Honey Bee continued to grin. After a moment, a line of police cars raced down the street.

“Well, looks like it’s back to work…”
