Description

Viola rushed onto the scene, where she noticed a large school bus sitting on top of a crushed car, with teenagers yelling from the windows. Cassie sprinted towards the bus, squatting under it and attempting to lift it. After a moment, the vehicle still hadn’t moved, as she grunted with some force. The heroine began to channel some of her telekinetic powers, as the bus finally began to move. Cassie continued to lift the bus with considerable effort, as firefighters and EMTs gathered their tools to help out. Moments passed, and Viola held the large bus above her head, with her toned arms fully extended. The heroine set the vehicle on the road, as the teenagers exited through the front door, disregarding the work that their saviour had just accomplished.

Cassie stood on the empty sidewalk with her hands on her hips, trying to catch her breath from such an exertion of energy. She sighed, scanning the area, and finding that everything turned out alright.

“I can’t believe I didn’t even get a thank you.” She mumbled to herself, rolling her eyes and sitting down on the sidewalk.

“Hey, chin up gorgeous.” Honey Bee exclaimed from behind.

“How did you-”

“I just know, trust me.” She laughed, sitting next to her friend.

“That was really hard, and they just-”

Kayla wrapped her arm around Cassie and pulled her closer into her frame. She then squeezed the tired heroine’s frame for a hug, as Cassie rested her head on Kayla’s shoulder.

“I don’t know if it’s any consolation, but I’m proud of you. I know how you feel, trust me. Sometimes you’ll do things that seem to go unnoticed, but just keep doing them, because I promise that someone will always notice them in one way or another.” Kayla whispered into her ear.

“Thanks for that.” Cassie replied, exhaling with relief.

“You’re welcome. Want to go patrolling together? You know, stop the bad guys, eat ice cream, and talk about boys?”

“So, the usual?” Cassie smiled.

“Exactly!”

“I think I’d like that.” Viola grinned, standing up with Kayla.

The two heroines hovered next to each other, as Honey Bee gave a playful flex of her bicep, and Viola rolled her eyes with equal playfulness. The clouds in the sky carried on, as the young ladies began to search for trouble…
