Not Transformers 2 the movie, you see, it's just a title because there's already one in my gallery that's...well, you get it...Back to doing some new sketch cards. Here's a batch of G1 characters, some based on figures, some on comics, and others on animation, and some are a mix of whatever I liked best.
Prime, Drift, Jazz, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Prowl, Hot Rod, Skywarp, Thundercracker.
Some notes: This is the first time I've drawn Drift, so that was interesting. I inked and colored the best of two sketches. The Prowl is a remade card, since I'm keeping the original one I did that Michael Bell (voice actor) signed.

This is just a scan of 9 cards that were done at the time. No real reason behind them particularly, I had a large list of G1 characters

Very cool and interesting! It reminds me of the intro to the old TV sitcom The Brady Bunch. I only say that because each character has their own square/
headshot. But this is far cooler, it features most, if not all, of the original Autobots. Even so, I like Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod the most as my favorite Autobot. He is one of two young leaders who sport flame motifs on their overall appearance. The other is Daisuke "Davis" Motomiya from Digimon: Season 2. I don't know if you've seen that, but it's true, Davis has flames too.

I never thought about cards positioned like that looking like the Brady intro, but you're right, haha! I liked Hot Rod a lot, and as Rodimus Prime he faced some extremely hard decisions. Some fans blow off the last season of US G1 Transformers, with Galvatron and the post-movie cast, but I think it's some of the best story telling they did with the show. I love the episode where Rodimus just wants to give up and go back to being Hot Rod. Then seeing Rodimus and Optimus was cool, too, because they're very different leaders, much like Megs and Starscream.
