The only DC comic I was ever interested in as a kid was Batman, but Green Lantern has a certain appeal. I mean, how many of us would love to be the bearer of a magic green space ring that does awesome things to bad people? Don’t be shy. Raise your hands.Winslow is one lucky dude.
This one was a lot of fun to draw. A lot of my comics tend to be layered with more than one joke, because one joke is usually not enough. This one not only has layers, but parallel universes that won’t be immediately apparent unless you’ve been reading Ben & Winslow for a while. Maybe I’m the only person who will ever understand. Maybe I just draw these things for my own amusement. Maybe I’m 29 years old and can do what I want, Mom. Jeez!

Trust me, Magic rings aren't all that amazing. Most of them that give you what people call powers are really just giving you access to a Spell without needing to have Magic in your blood or use a Wand. They're not very exciting.

For a normal human Magic rings are cool, but Witches aren't so fond of them.

He's never shown any signs of a strongwill power so Green Lanterns probably out
He seems to be hopeful enough to accomplish his goals so he might be able to be a blue lantern
He's a guy so he'll never be a violet lantern
He never really shows compasion for those he's done harm to so I doubt his ability to become an Indigo lantern
He doesn't seem to be angry enough to be red Lantern
He never seems to intentionally instill fear in people so I doubt he'd be able to become a Yellow Lantern
He is quite greedy at times so he might pass for an Orange Lantern
He would probably never be able to master all rings so I question his ability to be a White lantern
and finally his ability to seemingly survive anything would probably make it impossible for him to be a Black Lantern

Actually, it is possible for a male to be a Star Sapphire, but it's extremely rare and there aren't that many. I think there's only one in the entire history.

Most people think that Star Sapphires are only female because of what they stand and because only females are ever seen, but a male Star Sapphire is possible.

If the ring eventually broke and got stuck in Axe-form would become apart of the Axe-hole or would Ben call Lantern Corps first?
Also, I haven't seen Ben being much of a main character anymore. Poor guy can't even get his tie colored in.

That was one of my little, AK-likes-to-make-himself-laugh jokes: in a comic where the predominate color is green, Ben's tie isn't colored.
