Some bands are made of people. Some are made of robots. And one, just one, was made out of bioengineered cheese monsters.

The story of Brieth Easy (pronounced Breathe Easy–there’s a pun in there somewhere) is a short and tragic one. The band was created in 2008 after Winslow finished growing a special cheese-and-human-DNA mixture in his bioengineering vat, resulting in three roughly man-shaped cheese monsters. He taught them to play instruments, and within six month their self-titled album had gone platinum, with their single, “Love Un-feta’d,” topping the charts for seventeen weeks straight. Their story soured soon after. To fill the holes in the human genetic code, Winslow had used the DNA of a man-eating Indian tiger. Brieth Easy did, in fact, go on a killing spree. Over 30 children were devoured.

The band in this comic is Steam Powered Giraffe–Hatchworth, The Spine, and Rabbit. If you’re not familiar with them, I suggest you check them out. They aren’t actually robots, but they pretend to be on stage, and that’s why they’re awesome. Of course, in this comic, they’re actually robots, because that’s how I roll.
