to you.I'm ashamed to admit that this took me far longer than I had anticipated. D: What with all the power outages we've had this month, I had been afraid to work on my PC for long periods of time, afraid something would happen to it...plus some other personal issues I've been having lately. So, in sum, this year in so far hadn't been a good year for me, in regards of art. :C
BUT! I've been having lately this craving of doing some full drawings, instead of the ones with no background whatsoever XD So here it is. This drawing was full of experimentation, and though I'm not entirely happy with it, I'm afraid that if I touch it more, I'll ruin it instead.
This drawing, for me, represents hope, the faint but beautiful leaves representing that. I been of need of hope, lately. Also, this is in the hopes that Spring will go faster to you guys in the Northern parts of the world, so that here Autumn comes faster. I've missed you so much, Autumn. >.<

whoaa I love the colors so much! And the background is so well done too. The little leaves from the tree add a nice touch and it really conveys the idea of hope in spring. Also that hair is so long and beautiful too. I'm really loving all the soft colors you use. If I were to suggest anything though, it would be to watch the folds of the skirt. It looks really flowy and beautiful, but I think the left side could bend up a little more or be a little shorter. Anyway, your art is so lovely and I hope you keep making such awesome artwork!

As for the folds, I had a hard time with them. x.x I wanted to make them look flowy and natural looking too, and even with references, it was quite a harder task than I had anticipated x.x I shall try harder next time. So your suggestion is kindly appreciated, as I think you might be right on that. C:

~ The snow looks so beautiful, Akai! And I absolutely love the delicate new buds on the tree. They truly do feel like they're bringing new life and hope to the world. I think my favorite part of your drawing is your use of gentle colors, for it makes it feel as if spring is softening the harshness of winter. It's a wonderful feeling!
I'm so happy to see you're in an inspirational drawing mood! The heat of summer and power outages does indeed make for a very frustrating situation when you're yearning to draw (I know what that's like!). It's always great to see you experimenting with lots of new aspects. Thanks Sae >.< the snow was difficult for me to figure it out (its texture, mainly) but once I got it, it was actually fun~ It was also fun to figure out how to balance the greens off in the backgrounds without clashing too much or overshadowing the colds and blues of the snow in both extremes of the pictures, and I think I learned something new by doing it, in regards of colors. I'm glad it came through the way it did~ This time, the greens that inspired me were that of Tahra's, here in dA. C:
