There, another request done! Sorry if Yuri and Natsuki's poses look weird though; it took a lot of time for me to figure out and draw them . Critique for the art is appreciated!Requested by

Hey, I'm from ! The background is very well done. I like the speckles in the sand, nice detail. Everything in the drawing is clear and differentiated, so you put effort into that. You have a good sense of scale, because the mountains and trees look far away.
Like I tell everyone, use references. (I know there aren't a lot of references for this exactly, but there are for people standing on surfboards and people laying on their front. You just have to get creative. The top characters leg is too thick and she could really benefit from having both legs be seen, perhaphs one in front of the other with one leg bent to show she wants to keep her balance. The arms on the top girl are also pretty thick. The girl being used as the surfboard's anatomy could also be similarly improved, but it looks a little better than the top girls, in my opinion. She is appropriately stiff looking, laying flat on the ground, so good work there. I wish you all the best!

Hi, I would like to make a few suggestions to try and help you improve if that's ok.
First off the stiffness of the dark haired character I could see working if you just moved the placement of the character. I think the both character expression and stiffness would work if the standing character was standing on the other characters (sorry don't know which is which) bottom. It would then make it a more awkward situation and the expressions would fit better.
The standing characters hair: It's at a beach, there is generally breezes on the beach so you should consider having her hair reacting to the wind.
As other people have said the proportions are out especially the standing girl, I actually had to check the gallery of the person who requested it to see if she was suppose to have 1 leg or 2. Can I suggest using a program like daz or even getting clip studio. I use clip studio which includes drawing dolls, as I have issues with proportions when not referring to one.
The colours are good, however I would have chosen a slightly different or darker colour for the skins, as the colour you have used is pretty similar to the sand and you almost lose them in it.
I hope you don't take this as being negative towards your art, I am no professional but I have had to learn through trial and error and I am only hoping that I can help you improve.

Alright, thanks for the suggestions.
Is it also alright if I used Medibang btw? Because I use tablet to draw my art normally.

Hi!! My name's Mack and I'm from
I gotta say your colouring is very solid! The colours are sweet and easy to look at~
I do see a lot of ways this drawing can be improved, though.
Firstly, I'd like to comment on the landscape. It looks very flat and straight and barren and the perspective of the ground is wayyy too big. It looks like the camera is facing the girls head-on, yet the perspective of the area around them doesn't look that way? Maybe you were trying to convey the feeling of a long beach? If so, this isn't the way to do it. This could probably be less of a problem if the horizon line wasn't so high up.
I'd also like to mention that the water doesn't look like waves of the ocean, it just looks like a lake almost. and a very small one at that.
If you look at pictures of actual beaches, you'll see that a lot of the times, the shore twists and turns because of the waves
I'd recommend practicing by looking at photographs of actual landscapes and trying to copy them to get a feel of how the environment you want to draw looks.
Secondly, I agree that Yuri and Natsuki's poses do look a little stiff. Yuri almost looks like a plank of wood. I feel like it'd be better if instead of having a character face directly sideways, they can be at some other angle like 3/4 view. There are plenty of tutorials for drawing people at different angles on youtube.
I also feel like it'd be a liiiittle better if her hair wasn't covering almost her entire body.
In order to fix the stiffness problem, I'll tell you about something that I personally like to do.
Draw a somewhat curved line where you want the body to be, this will help you get the flow of the pose and make the body look more natural. When you have this "action line", just draw the body over it.
Here's an example:
(image not mine)
Try and remember that the human body is almost never perfectly straight! (unless they're absolutely freaking terrified or trying really hard to plank)
I'd looooove to give some more advice because I love seeing others improve, but I don't want to overwhelm you with such a long comment. I hope to see you improve more!!
Best regards,
Macky

Thanks for your critique, it's very helpful! ^w^
I'll try to do that for my future art projects.

Hm ok. Yuri foot is large and the portions are very off. She arms are way to chunky and Natsuki legs are to thick.

I love the hair and the expressions but Yuri's foot is very large as well as her arms and hands try making them a little smaller and Natsuki's neck is a bit off in the sense of a bit in the wrong place of the body try using references for their figures of them but otherwise it looks pretty good!!!
