The last few months it became rather quiet about Spiegelberg Stables and its riders and horses. Many factors such as bad luck with injuries, as well as lack of time and practice caused things to almost stand still. But with spring around the corner it seemed like life would finally return and everyone was eager to make this the best season ever. Both riders and horses were in excellent shape since they had spent the last weeks with intense training sessions.

The last time Chuck and Tarzan had competed on international level was more than one year ago and now he couldn't wait to finally dance through the arena again with his most beloved stallion. They had faced some hard times at their last shows and with his confidence constantly decreasing Chuck knew that keeping to compete was just a waste of time. But over the last few weeks something changed. Riding Tarzan felt as good and easy as never before and he just knew they were ready to get out there again.
Also Lilas efforts during their lessons were bearing fruit. Until today she never competed on international level but she was a very ambitious person and was eager to enter her first Grand Prix this season. She even proved herself worthy enough for Chuck to let her ride Tarzan every once in a while. (But only under his supervision of course, since Tarzan was and always will be his precious little baby boy )

For Jesse things were a little more complicated. Chuck and Deliah both agreed on the fact that Spiegelberg Stables had to establish it's reputation in Show Jumping as well. They already had some horses that were good show jumping prospects, but up until know Jesse just trained them at home, Ida participated in some small shows on lower level and then they were sold.
When Chuck offered him this job at Spiegelberg Stables they never talked about him competing again, especially not on CSI Level. But since Chuck knew about his accident and that he never competed since Jesse just assumed that he wouldn't expect him to and therefore never talked to him about it.
Of course he understood that the request made sense, since a growing reputation in another discipline would not only increase their income from the horses they were selling but would also attract sponsors and boost Spiegelbergs breeding program. But he also knew that Ida was far away from competing internationally and hiring someone additionally just for competing would be nonsense, which left him in a bit of a bind. He really loved his job but taking part at competitions again was never part of his plan and he wasn't sure if he was ready to change that.
