As promised, a Step by Step fromI just randomly took screenshots during the process
I hope it gives you an idea of how I work ^^
Basically the steps are
Lines > basic background to get an idea of the colors > basic coloring of horse and rider > slowly shading single parts of horse and rider and adding details > finishing the background
Tho I guess that a lot artists work in that order
