"The Icing on the Cake", Painter 12, 2011. When I started looking at the scribble contest lines I must have had boobs on my mind because I kept coming back to the ever-so-naughty idea that the circle could be a nipple! Once I hit on the idea that the lines might stand alone as white highlights on a latex/rubber outfit (think Catwoman - Adam Hughs style) I kept working on scale and rotations of the line set until it seemed to work well. The concept gradually grew from there and the birthday cake idea seems like a nice fit for this contest. Disclosure, I referenced some of Gil Elvgren's (the Pin-Up master) work to get the wink right. I hope you like it. I am fairly pleased with the final result of only my second ever digital painting. Steep learning curve!
