Description:
When Okami's parents discovered that Black Elves were going to attack, they sent him to a neighboring tribe for protection. The tribe was being overseen by Katana's father at the time, and he quickly accepted. But when Okami's parents were both murdered during the battle, the wolves knew he must be protected. Katana's father had a family in the tribe adopt the still very young Okami, and they hid him, keeping his true past a secret--giving hope that one day he might take his father's place as the leader of the wolves.

Having grown up as any normal wolf tribe child would, Okami was treated no better than the other children. But his awkward strength was soon discovered when, at the incredible age of thriteen, Okami killed a male Shadow Lurker.

Katana and Okami grew up together and were best friends. They were also betrothed, to their unknowing of course. They played, fought, ate together, swearing they'd never part.

But when the Black Elves heard of Okami's true past, they attacked the tribe, slaughtering the wolves, including Katana's father. The only survivors were Okami, Katana and her two siblings, Hiragana and Kanji. The injured Okami was discovered by a nearby tribe of wolves, for he'd wandered into the forest in hopes of taking cover.

After having been nursed back to health, he returned to his home tribe, only to find no remainders of Katana or her siblings. Thinking she'd been murdered, Okami swore eternal vengeance on the Black Elves.

His love for Katana never dies as the years rolled past. Okami and Katana eventually met again several years later. He reminded her that they were betrowthed, and she said she understood but explained she could not marry until she'd hunted down the ones respinsible for her father's murder.

Years later, Okami finds that Katana was in Prince Eryn's (the prince of the forst elves) castle. Going to 'rescue' her from the 'elven threat', Okami discovers she has fallen in love with Eryn. Enfuriated with hatred and pain, Okami challenges Eryn to a death match over Katana's affection. But will Okami be able to defeat Eryn? ...Will Katana let him?
