EDIT: Background fixed. Here's the old one. [link] I liked the concept, but the cracks were hard...
Maple is a character of mine. Anthro fox--not werewolf...
I made the New Year deadline by ten seconds! LOL
This is of the few first paintings that include a background. I hope to make more this coming year =3 I love the lighting. And now, good night!

The image could use come polishing and the water's movement seems off somehow. Aside that it's cool.

Hmm... I might name her Kaliona or whatever suits your fancy. I tend to make sure names match the character and roll off the tongue. For example, in a book I'm writing the main character's name is Jeremy Kider. But his nickname is Jay. It suits his personality, the purpose of the story, and is smooth to say.
(keep in mind I have synaesthesia, [link] so I FEEL the words. Kinda like some musicians (see color in song/ect), the 'extra' sense seems to appeal to others subconsciously.)

I know what that it, and while I don't have it, I do try. See, she's actually RPed in a unique world, so the name really does give her her life. If you like, I can link you a peek, and then you can tell me what you think again? I don't expect you to agree, just an experiment =3

she didn't have that sunset glow in her last time, right? it looks good

The perspective on the "ground" confuses me...I'm going to assume it's water but it looks...fuzzy, almost, and the waves don't seem to match the perspective and scale of the foam and breakers around her feet. Maple and the sky look fine, but the water is very confusing to me.
Also, maybe bring in a little of that background purple colour in Maple's shadows to make her blend into the image a little more.

la unica pata que se ve bien es su "mano" izquierda
a las otras le falta algo, no se si es detalle de sombras, pero no se ven como la que esta en el aire
igual que la cara, hay un gran contraste porque el fur se ve bien brutal de real y la cara se ve eh... no real? igual que las tres patas que mencione
y el cielo esta cabron
