I'm a fan of detail. .... Are the white ink and gel pen very effective? I mean, are they brilliant or kind of muted? Most whites tend to not cover well, or seem almost transparent.

Hello, of course, the best way is not to colorise the white areas. For highlightsΒ sometimesΒ I use gel pen for spot areas and forΒ larger areas I use "Kuretake white ink 30" - it has almost perfect coverage
