Commission for of Solas from Dragon Age Inquisition and her lovely character Eva Trevelyan.

This is amazing! just one tip, if you create some tiny waves around the persons, it looks more realistic since they cannot stand in the water fully steadily. I know that that is hard to make, though ^^

Oh that's true. It had them in the sketch but they kind of got lost while coloring. Thank you! c:

I found this piece of art to be very moving in many ways. From the contracts of light to dark colors, to the feelings the art piece gives me. Let me start with the background, I love the colors of the background, they really make the focus of the art piece stand out more as well as give me feelings of calming and peace. I love the waterfall the most, I find it very beautiful and very well drawn. Now onto the focus of the art piece, they two standing in the water. These two people give me a “Beauty and the Beast” feeling. The reason why is the male figure is not that very handsome to me, and with his pale skin and pointed ears, he reminds me of a Vampire like creature, thought the art is in the daylight I am assuming he is an elf like creature. But none the less, it almost seems that he is a beast and the very beautiful woman standing before him is the beauty. But that’s another thing I truly like about this photo is the contrast between the two focuses of the art. The contrast of skin tone, and other colors makes them polar opposites and very interesting to meet the eyes. I love the color of the female’s hair, it’s not yet brown yet not red, it’s a beautiful mixture that makes the purple of her eyes shadow and clothing a perfect match for color combination. I also love the braid you placed in her hair, not often can I see anyone draw a braid properly without it looking poor, but you made the hair absolutely amazing. I also noticed many hints of detail in this art, but the one detail I liked the most was seeing that males shirt hanging from the tree in the background.

Thank you so much! ; u;
I also love Beauty and the Beast themes so this was a pleasure to draw. I'm also happy you like the hair, it is one of my favorite things to paint.

I've been seeing so much Dragon Age stuff on my Pinterest feed, I honestly have no idea who these characters are but I like it for the actual image.

Thank you! Neither do I to be honest, I only know the man is a character from the game, the girl is Snowwhiteshadows' oc. xD

I am SO jealous of your watercolor skills XD I've tried watercolor, but I've never been able to do it well. You, though. You did an amazing job here. You should be proud. I especially love how you did the trees and the water. Really nicely done. You also nailed the skin tone on both characters, which is not an easy thing to do. I like the variety of color, too. It's all very harmonious with no harsh contrast, but not too little contrast either. Keep up the great work!

Such exceptional work. The anatomy is spot on, the colors are vibrant, and the emotion leaps off the piece. I give thee 9 / 10 stars.

Ahhm this is really cool!
I like that although you use a (printed) lineart it still looks like a watercolor and not like coloring-by-color kind of thing. The plants on the upper left are especially good (the tree on the right is cool too, but its trunk is too brown, it should probably have been calmer with more grays/blues).
The colors are very enjoyable, I especially like the skin tones and the girl's pants: their tone is aniline-dyes-bright, but it does not destroy the larger harmony of the painting. The fact that the water is the same color as their pants may hint that they are mer-people (?) to some extent without painting the actual fantasy attributes of those creatures. It is a neat trick
The water on the foreground is pleasant, but the waterfall should not be that white: the water should largely be covered with background-stone brown with some sharp white highlights and some deep and sharp deep-blue shadows (and some additional green for the sake of reflection).
And one more small problem is his face: with the light coming slightly from the upper left, his face should be shadowed.
Regardless of all the 'fleas' I've picked, it's a great illustration. It's hard to manage bright colors, especially in watercolor, and you've done a great job in conveying a feeling of a hot summer day.

Thank you so much! c:
Oh you are right, the tree trunk would have looked much better with some blue and gray tones.
The colors of the water and their pants are mostly a coincidence, though I do try to use same colors several times in one piece to bring harmony to the painting.
You are also right about the waterfall and his face, I am always scared to go too dark in such delicate area's. Thank you for pointing that out!
