Akashi x Reader One shot

~Flashback~

About five year old girl hugged her mother’s leg and hid behind her. She was very shy. And there were three strange people in front of her who she had never seen before.

„Oh look! She is blushing! What a cutie!” the woman said. She smiled warmly to the girl, but she just hugged her mother’s leg tighter in response.

„(Y/n)-chan. Be polite and say ‚hi’ to Akashi family. They are our close friends” her mom gently pushed her into the front so she could greet them.

Now the girl was able to see all the people who her mom introduced as ‚Akashi family’. The woman who spoke to her was really beautiful. She had long brown hair and a sun hut. She wore sheer white dress and brown sandals. Her big red eyes looked at the girl with warmth. Next to her stood a man, probably her husband. He had a strict look on his face, so panicked girl quickly moved her (e/c) orbs next. She saw a young boy, he looked like small lord, dressed into white shirt and elegant black trousers. He had red hair and matching eyes. ‚He must be my age…’ the girl thought. Suddenly he smiled brightly to her. The girl blushed madly and, as her mother had taught her, formally bowed.

„G-Good m-m-morning! M-My n-n-name is (L-L/n) (Y/n)! Nice t-to meet y-you!” she said quickly. The woman in front of her cheerfully giggled. You looked up uncertainly.

„(Y/n)-chan you are such a cute child!” she explained her sudden laugh. Then he tapped boy’s shoulder. „Sei-chan, your turn to introduce”.

He smiled and looked back at the girl.

„Nice to meet you too, (Y/n)-chan! My name is Akashi Seijuro” he said and also bowed.

„(Y/n)-chan? Why don’t you show Seijuro-kun the garden?” the girl heard her father’s voice. She looked at him and saw his expression. He didn’t need to repeat himself. She nodded and slowly approached the boy.

„Seijuro-kun, please follow me” she grabbed his sleeve and went to the garden.

„They are so cute together!” girl’s mother smiled. Boy’s mom nodded.

„Yeah, Sei-chan was very excited to meet his future wife. They suit each other” she replied. Girl’s father nodded.

„It’s already settled. Anyway, let’s go to the terrace. The service will bring cold drinks” he explained and took his guests there.

Meanwhile, two kids were walking through a huge garden. The girl finally let go of boy’s sleeve. She didn’t bother to say anything.

„Your garden is indeed very beautiful” Akashi politely remarked.

„T-Thank you…” (Y/n) answered quietly. Now they were walking next to each other. ‚He spoke up first. Now it’s my turn to keep the conversation. That’s what mother always says’ she thought and turned her head his direction.

„What do you like, S-Seijuro-kun?” she finally decided to speak up. He looked at her and smiled.

„I like basketball! My mom taught me how to play it, it’s really cool! I also like horse ridding and playing violin! How about you, (Y/n)-chan?” there again, those gentle red eyes gave the girl warm look.

„I like reading. I can escape from this live and live many others whenever I want. I-I can also ride a horse but I don’t find it that interesting. More like a chore, because that what lady should be able to do. The same goes for piano! I hate it! Mother is always making me practise it, but it’s too boring” the girl relaxed a bit. Maybe he wasn’t that bad after all.

Akashi giggled.

„You really are interesting (Y/n)-chan!” he said and the girl blushed again. „So cute~” he teased.

„Shut up, I’m not cute!” she got really irritated. „I don’t like when people call me that!”.

„O-Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know” he answered confused and rubbed his neck. „Aren’t the ladies supposed to be more polite. ‚Shut up’ wasn’t really nice, (Y/n)-chan” he said.

„I-I’m definitely not a lady. That’s what my mother wants me to be, but I want to be more like main characters in books. They are strong and independent… They can do what they want! And girls are even allowed to wear trousers! This damn skirts and dresses… When I get older, I won’t wear any of them!” she declared lively. Akashi made sad expression.

„Even on your wedding day?” he asked. The girl pouted.

„I guess I can make one exception…” she mumbled. Akashi laughed cheerfully.

„Then it’s settled on the day we get married you’ll wear the dress” she blushed when he mentioned the wedding. Father had told her about it yesterday and she didn’t really accept it yet. ‚But if it’s him, I don’t mind’ she thought.

„Hey, that reminded me about something!” he suddenly said and put a hand into the pocket. He took a small box from it. „It’s for you! I hope that you’ll like it…” he blushed lightly and looked away in order to hide it. (Y/n) slowly took the box and opened it. There was a small golden chain with small golden heart on it. She looked at Akashi amazed.

„I-I picked it myself” he explained. „Do you like it?”.

„I love it! Thank you, Sei-kun!” she giggled and hugged him. Akashi blushed harder this time. ‚Even if she doesn’t like it, for me she’s still cute…’

Akashi opened his eyes and looked at the alarm clock. 7:00. Time to go to school. First day at high school, actually. He sighed and got up. He decided to attend Rakuzan. Today he was also supposed to make a speech as first year representative. He dressed up into his uniform and ate breakfast. When he finished, he went outside and got into black limo.

He looked through the window and watched people on the streets going to work or school. ‚Maybe she is, just like them, going through busy streets…’ he thought. Sudden sadness caught his heart. (Y/n)… He hadn’t seen her since primary school. He remembered the day when he had come to his father and had asked him why he and (Y/n) couldn’t have met for so long. He had coldly explained that (Y/n)’s father had gone bankrupt. (L/n) family hadn’t been rich anymore, furthermore, they hadn’t been good enough now. Akashi and (Y/n)’s engagement had been canceled. Then he also had said that (Y/n)’s father couldn’t have lived with such dishonor that he had killed himself. (Y/n)’s mother hadn’t been used to living without luxury, so she had run away with some famous photograph to Paris living young (Y/n) with her aunt in Kyoto.

That’s why Akashi had decided to attend school there. He just hoped that he would be able to meet her again.

His father didn’t let him stay in touch with her, so he came up with this plan. He was always right, so she HAD TO BE THERE.

He finally reached his goal and left the limo. He headed straight to the gym where first years had the beginning of the school year. He looked around, but he didn’t see any (h/c) haired (e/c) eyed young female. Well, he didn’t know how she looked like now, but he was sure that he would be able to recognize her.

When the time had come, he told the speech and while doing that, kept looking around. There. There she was. Almost in the back looking at him with this gentle smile on her face.

He finished and took back his seat. Did she recognize his as well? Would she talk to him? He was way too excited to listen to headmaster’s words.

Then, finally it was over! He got up and rushed to where he had seen her. But she wasn’t there anymore. He felt his heart braking into small pices. But he wouldn’t give up! Not when he had found her after all those years! He went out of the gym and headed to his homeroom. ‚Maybe we are in the same class…’

Suddenly he noticed two figures behind the gym’s wall. He looked closer… (Y/n)! She was there with someone… A man. Akashi’s fists tighten. What was she doing with a man there? He went closer.

„So, why did you call me here?” he heard (Y/n)’s melodic voice.

„I-I just wanted to tell you that… I think that you’re cute! I like you ever since middle school!” the male confessed.

„Tch, I’m not cute!” she looked away. „I can’t accept your feelings. I like someone else” when he heard that and reminded himself that gentle smile on her face…

„Leave her alone. She is MINE” Akashi suddenly showed up behind (Y/n)’s back and hugged her from behind.

„H-Hai!” panicked male shouted and left them immediately.

(Y/n) slowly turned around to face him.

„Sei-kun…? Is that really you? When I saw you there I… I missed you so much” tears escaped her eyes. He raised his hand and took them away.

„I missed you too, (Y/n)-chan” he admitted. Then he noticed something familiar. „Is that…?” he pointed at her neck. She looked down at it and smiled.

„Y-Yeah… But I had to buy bigger chain, because that one became too small” she giggled and touched it. „You gave it to me back then. And you picked it yourself” he blushed lightly.

„I-Is that so…” he answered and smiled lightly. „I’m glad that I was finally able to meet you again, (Y/n). Now no one will take you away from me” he said and hugged the girl to his chest. She returned the hug.

„I’m not good enough for you anymore…” she mumbled. Akashi took her chin and made her face him.

„Don’t ever say that! The truth is you’re too good for me! I won’t accept anyone else than you” he said. „Because I love you”.

They stood in silence for a few seconds looking into each other’s eyes. Suddenly (Y/n) put her hand on his chick and kissed him. Wait, what?! Kissed? Akashi firstly was frozen. I took him some time to finally wake up and return the kiss.

„I love you too, Sei-kun. So don’t let go of me again” she whispered when they broke of.

„I won’t”.
