No it's not because they're not a couple. I thought it was going into that direction but I'm glad they didn't make it a boring love storyΒ a la "bad guy good girl". I mean Kylo went full metal dark side in the end...and if I was Rey I'd hate him for what he's done...

Well "ship" is a fictional thing, something that fans make up if they want to see two character togerher. You can ship 2 people even if they are not an actual couple. I like to imagine them being attracted to eachother even if in the end they won't be together XD
