Description
Oh yeah, I went there. I WENT THERE. I colored this picture, from scratch. How? I downloaded Open Canvas which is used by a artist I watch and I love her artwork. So, tell me what you all think? Is it good? It isn't perfect, I know, but its the first ever I did and I worked about six hours on it. Should I do this from now on? Or stay with colored pencils? Either way, I might just do both depending on what I feel like...
But you all tell me your opinions please.

Not too bad for a first try.
Although, I do think your colored pencil work was better, though I would try what everyone else is suggesting, and try and combine the two, just to see how it looks.

The lines and details are much better to see, but it is lacking the shifting tones that a hand-down piece would have. I suggest trying to mix both colored pencils and Open Canvas in a piece at least once, to see how well it goes.
I take it this is Boomer's updated color scheme, also.

Hmmm... this coloring defintely gives your drawings a different style. I can't say if that's for better or worse, but I'd say try this coloring out for a little while.

This is nice and bright, it stood out from my messages and I just had to click to get a better look. You could possibly make the shading a bit darker, put a shadow underneath and obviously erase the red that has gone over the line in the tail.
BUT this is your artwork and it's your style so it's up to you.
I like both, the pencil coloring in your "Vorion the Terrible" artwork was amazing. I think you should color in with "Open Canvas" more often because it's something new, by the way was it free and safe to download?

Thanks.
As far as I know, it is safe.
