Is this an older Kana? If so, she shouldn't be with the Chuugakusei uniform... I also think Rikuo's head and hand are a little too big and the colors need some improvement. And the background... not very good. Other than that, the art isn't bad. Also, if my opinion is worth anything, I think RikuKana gets just as much love from fans as it does from the author - almost none - so it's justifiable. That's why I don't think they need more love like you said.
