Is your belt just a solid circle? Like did you put some sort of clasp to close it or do you just slip it on. Also is sewn to the shorts?

it was a circle that had some dimensional support,and the belt was made to be like a actual belt

lol ok. I'm gonna attempt to make my belt out of craft foam. I already have a crap load of craft foam and I don't want to spend money on material to make it out something else, since I'm low on money XD Hopefully it works and doesn't fall apart or something >.<

you could try giving the craft foam a fabric backing for reinforcements.
that way if it begins to tear, the fabric will keep it in one piece.
