You know what? I'm REALLY into that dirty blue and lava red thing happening. Damn man! I keep staring at it...

...i seriously need to buy some more of your work before i become a broke med student...

i like the way the blue appears to be flowing up and out of the orange...
...like an eruption or a spurting flame stemming from a flat point of origin

the first time I saw your paintings this one was my favorite. it's the red/orange that grabbed me, and to have all the other colors flow with it, I fell in love with it.

You better watch it, next time I'm over there I just might steal it off your wall

It's like calming covering up the red with the blues. Are you in a more peaceful place?

It looks to me like the separation of earth and sky, the slice of red representing the incision. This is really cool!

Oh, yes, and can you tell me what is the name of the orange color?

Man, i really dig it!YOu have achieved what i'm trying to achieve now. With little efect so far. Eh, the colors are one, and apart in the same time. The blue is harmony and yet it's broken apart by it's variations. Damn man! Im trying to do something like this(effect, not the painting) for like a year now, with no effect!

This is what i see in my dreams of pudding and barbed wire.

Nice.

See you in my next LD:]

The horizon line somewhat reminds me of Bennett's Prairie Fire series. You know what I really like about this is the liberal integration of red - somehow it really works with the sky and especially with your ground plane. To me, it reads as somewhat chaotic, yet still part of an overall system. Not sure if that's your intent, but that's just my take. I really like the direction you're taking here, Jim.

the whole thing was red, in a previous iteration. that's why parts of it are peeking out through the blue and the green.
