Description We wrote this tragedy
In the dialect of denial,
Pushing toward an inevitable end and
Lying all the while;

We stepped onto this dance floor
Knowing all the steps,
Yet hesitant to take them,
And that was when I said,
"Someone's gonna get hurt,
And I'd rather it be me",
Trying to break it off,
And that was when you broke down,
And that was when I rushed
To find you in a bathtub
In a place I'd never known,
You just wanted to dance,
But you don't want to dance alone;

We built this love on heartbreak
And broken trust, and lust,
We engineered the downfall
And we will live with what we must.

i think, you're doing the right thing... or at least, as right as what we feel it has to be.
good on you mate.

No, I'm not doing the right thing anymore....much has happened since then. This is thew hardest thing I've ever faced.

Every step into new territory seems like a milestone, but this too shall past and with each step forward, we grow... and shed ourselves, metaphorically speaking...

I recall once in Theory of Knowledge class when my teacher asked if we're the same as we were back whenever. We're not.
With each day, we become a new person. It has something to do with either Plato or Aristotle or maybe someone completely different, I forgot.

Each decision we make is a new one. So have faith my friend, and know that whatever difficulty we face now, we're only so much closer to Nirvana.

"This too shall pass" is a biblical quote...and I don't put much stock in those.

I do agree that each day we become a new person, however. I've always held that we are only the sum of every experience we've ever had and every person who's ever meant anything to us...and thus, to regret anything in our lives is to ultimately regret the person that we are.

Closer to "The Enlightenment" Nirvana, or the "Head blown off of Kurt Kobain" Nirvana?

I always thought this too shall pass was from a headstone but what do i know. (:

Yes, but that was what I meant. We're the sum of every experience. But each day is a chance for us to do something new... Isn't that why there was that rather idiotic, cheesy quote about the past and the future and something about today being a present?
I believe it was yesterday's history, tomorrow's mystery but today's a gift and that's why it's called a present?

Err... Closer to peace Nirvana. I don't know what Enlightenment means (I don't mean literal definition but rather Enlightenment as a whole topic) and Kurt Kobain... Well.

Wait. I suppose I do mean Enlightenment Nirvana if you add in the blown up bit as well.

It's a hard decision to make when you have feelings for the girl, huh? I can't imagine that position you must be in.

Yeah, it sucks. I certainly appreciate the sympathy, friend.

She's leaving him for me. It's something I never wanted to happen...at least not to him. But if this is how it all plays out, then I'm in it for the long haul.

Anytime, man.

Yeah, it's not something anyone would really wish for.
But, things just have to happen as they happen I suppose.

although that totally defies my whole idea of "free will". Maybe I'm just weak. I don't know.

The human condition of rationalization is a bitch. Don't bother figuring it out.
Just be honest and as karmatically sound as possible.

The past month for me has been a story of slipping farther and farther down the karmic ladder. Last night, I told her we had to stop seeing each other, and that I knew that would hurt her, but that it would hurt her less than if we kept at this and Greg found out.

Julie's best friend, Melissa, called me from Julie's cell phone about an hour-and-a-half later, and told me that Julie had locked herself in the Melissa's bathroom and refused to come out or say what she was doing there. I left the bar with two unfinished drinks and sped over there as quickly as possible. We had a long talk, and Julie decided she would leave Greg to be with me.

I feel like I've stepped into the middle of a damn soap opera. I hate soap operas.

Well, if this makes any sense to you...
understand that no one can be stolen from another person.

It was her decision.

Funny, I was just saying that very same thing to someone earlier today.
